“…an overwhelming sonic tour de force.” – Chicago Tribune
A new season begins with an exploration of life and memory, including the haunting and evocative music of Japanese minimalist composer Somei Satoh and the strikingly beautiful and poignant music of Sarah Kirkland Snider, co-founder of New Amsterdam Records.
The centerpiece of the evening is Anna Clyne’s Steelworks. The music and electronics incorporate recordings of machinery and interviews with employees at Flame Cut Steelworks, the last steelworks factory in Brooklyn.
The concert features video art by Seattle artist Stefan Gonzales.
What to Expect:
- An approximately one-hour, casual show with no intermission.
- Doors open at 7:30pm. Arrive early to enjoy a complimentary drink.
- Stay late to talk with the artists after the concert.
Seating is general admission and tickets are $15 online and $20 day-of-show. Student tickets are available for $5 the night of the performance with a valid ID. If you have specific seating needs, please email [email protected] with your request.
